Behind the brand
Hi there! I'm Anastasia, Ukraine born and raised, a Berliner since 2017; creator of The Bequem and its products.
Life's taken me to many places—different cities, different countries, and plenty of those plain "white box" apartments. But through it all, one thing kept me feeling good in every place: scents. There's just something about a special aroma that makes any space feel like home.
Yet, as a consumer, I often found myself settling for home fragrances that didn't quite hit the mark—either in quality, origin, or price. That's when I decided to create my own home perfumes, which could meet all the criterias I was searching for. After plenty of trial and error, I finally found perfect formulas, scents, and textures. I continued my path at Perfumery Institute in the South of France in 2022. The programme gave me more in-depth knowledge and massive motivation, which I translate through my brand.
What is the bequem?
"bequem" means "comfortable" or "cozy" in German, and that's exactly what my brand is all about—creating a warm and inviting atmosphere in any space with just a hint of our scents.
Why the "The" in the bequem? Living in such a diverse and multicultural city like Berlin, where people from all over the world come together, I wanted to mix things up a bit by putting together something foreign ("the") with something German ("bequem"). And now, The Bequem proudly stands as a registered trademark in the EU.
